Class Description
Calling all young bakers and future pastry pros! In this exciting Junior Chefs class, kids will step into the world of cake decorating as they compete in a fun, fast-paced decorating challenge. Chef Vicky will have each student’s cakes pre-baked and decorating stations fully prepared with buttercream, piping bags, tips, sprinkles, and colorful decorations ready to go. A prize will be rewarded to our winner!

Before the competition begins, Junior Chefs will learn and practice a variety of cake decorating techniques demonstrated by Chef Vicky, including frosting cakes smoothly, piping borders and designs, and adding creative finishing touches. Once everyone has practiced their new skills, it’s time for the main event!

Young chefs will be given a surprise decorating theme and a set amount of time to design and decorate their cakes using their imagination and newly learned techniques. From bold colors and creative piping to over-the-top sprinkle creations, kids will have the chance to showcase their creativity while competing in a friendly and encouraging environment.

This class is perfect for kids who love baking shows, enjoy getting creative in the kitchen, and want to learn real cake decorating skills while having a blast. Every participant will leave with their decorated cake, new decorating confidence, and sweet memories from an unforgettable cake competition experience!

• For the safety of all participants, we require the following: (1) Long hair must be tied back, restrained, or covered during class. (2) Closed-toe, non-slip shoes must be worn at all times in the kitchen. No sandals or open-toed footwear permitted. (3) Appropriate kitchen attire is required. Long pants are recommended to protect against potential burns or spills. Participants who do not comply with these safety requirements may be asked to adjust their attire or may be unable to participate in cooking activities. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Please enjoy a 10% discount on all items in our retail store during the full calendar day/night of your class or event. Our retail store will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class. 
• We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
• This class is designed and taught for children ages 9-14. By registering your child, you are telling us that your child will be at least 9 years old as of the class date. We reserve the right to check the age of your child. Should we find that they are younger than 9, they will not be able to attend this class and no refunds will be given. 
• If your child would like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes. If you've registered with other people on the same order, you will automatically be seated together.
• Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
• For Junior Chef (ages 9-14) classes: Your child must be at least 9 years old as of the class date and no more than 14 years. In addition, you must have an Under 18 Waiver that is signed by a parent or legal guardian. Click here for a copy of the Under 18 Waiver. We encourage you to download, print, and sign the waiver and bring it to class with your child. If someone other than the parent signs a Waiver, they will need a legal document to be presented that shows without question that they have the legal authority to sign a Waiver on behalf of your child at that time. Without an appropriately signed Waiver, your child will not be allowed to attend the class. If someone other than the parent drops off your child and requests to sign on behalf of a child, they will need evidence that they are a legal guardian for that child. Please choose the class that is right for the developmental level and maturity of your child.
